I recommend having a check-up from your primary physical before your journey. Once you get the okay, begin walking gradually. One hour a day three times a week for a week or two, then bump it up until you can walk 12 miles. You can do it! Put those walking shoes or boots on at least four to five days a week before you head out to Spain.
And yes, start breaking in your shoes now. Find a buddy to walk with you. It makes it so much easier — and fun! We will start out as a group at the same time each morning. This is a personal journey, but pairing up with someone with a similar pace provides comfort and safety. We arrive at our destination each day by early to mid-afternoon.
We will not walk in the dark of evening. Ten miles may sound like a lot right now, but there are usually plenty of places to stop throughout the day. However, it is important to listen to your body. The cab fees, of course, will be your responsibility. Your buddy can also take care of that for you as they reach the next town.

They love to help! Certificates are provided as you enter Santiago and have walked at least the last km of the Camino Frances. Mar 16, Jodie Berndt rated it it was amazing. No matter what path you find yourself on - whether it's filled with surprises, hardships, or joy - you'll find encouragement in this book. Lisa Robertson offers an insightful blend of real-life stories and biblical wisdom to point us toward the best path of all: The path of life!
This is a very nice book of Christian witness and encouragement for women. The author grew up Episcopalian and married the son of Pat Robertson of the Club. I appreciated the author's candor and willingness to deal with tough life challenges. She tells stories of her own life and how she overcame difficult times through faith. I especially appreciated her discussion of the break-up of her own church and how she used this crisis to move on to new and successful ministry.
This book would mak This is a very nice book of Christian witness and encouragement for women. This book would make a fine text for a women's Bible study or book group. Discussion questions for each chapter are included in the back. This book was interesting. I really enjoyed some chapters, while others didn't connect with me.
Learning to Live for Yourself: Walking Your Own Path
There were several chapters that I took something away that I could apply to my life. Others, I just felt a little lost. I wasn't sure how everything really applied to the idea of "The Path of Life". But with all that being said, I would recommend this book because I really did enjoy most of it. That can often happen in these types of books, because every person is at a different stage in life. My fav This book was interesting. My favorite chapters were those that dealt directly with parenting.
- The Language Mansion: An exploration of language and meaning.

- Just Because My Path Is Different, Doesn’t Mean I’m Lost?
- Controlled Instincts: (BBW Paranormal Romance) (Alpha Doms Book 8);
I would read those chapters again just to remind myself. Overall, a well-written book, with a great message! This is one of those works that are best taken in small doses to reflect upon and allow to settle in. I was surprised by how many very personal accounts were included here to illustrate faith and forgiveness.
The author was quite brave to have included such raw and emotional moments from her life. The parenting chapters didn't apply to me, so I wasn't as engaged with those, but the rest of this was engaging and thought-provoking. The scripture included was fitting for the subject matter and I liked the easy going writing style. This is a great book to encourage Christians, especially who are going through a difficult time.
The Path of Life it's a bit of biography, but if you don't like them, don't be discouraged by it, Robertson will pull you into the story from the very first pages! Very in mind that you'll be highlighting quite a few paragraphs, yes, it's THAT good! By the author's witness, you'll remember that God isn't only every step of the way with you, but if you really trust Him, REALLY trust Him, He'll surprise This is a great book to encourage Christians, especially who are going through a difficult time.
By the author's witness, you'll remember that God isn't only every step of the way with you, but if you really trust Him, REALLY trust Him, He'll surprise you, even when you are in the midst of the worse season of your life. Lisa's writing made me realize that when I am facing something difficult in my life, I am not alone because someone has walked a similar path before me. I highly recommend this book If you're learning how to listen for God's leading in your life, this book is the perfect guide.
I highly recommend this book! Wonderful and powerful book. This book brings encouragement for all no matter your situation. With real life stories and most importantly the Biblical wisdoms help golder you in the right direction for yourself. I think that you should take this book show and in small sections. I also believe it's one you could most likely read multiple times and get something new out of it.
